- So long Seattle -
- Hello San Diego -
Yesterday was a blur for Mike & I (traveling always does that to me). We got up early - packed, checked out of the hotel, went to the house to check on the cleaning crew, meet with the Realtor and say good-bye to the house that's been our home for the last 7 years.
Then we headed over to the airport, had a couple beer to calm our nerves & celebrate setting off on our new adventure.
We chatted about Seattle and all the memories it held for us and wondered about California & all the adventures it was about to hand over ... so bittersweet!
Canada is where I grew up and had my 1st baby, Maryland is where Mike & I started our married life & I had my 2nd baby, Seattle is where we raised our children and saw them safely move into their own lives and now - California is where Mike & I will probably spend the rest of our days together, hopefully entertaining many, many house-guests ...
“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.”

garden thoughts ...
'I sit in my garden, gazing upon a beauty that cannot gaze upon itself. And I find sufficient purpose for my day.'
