Walkabout No. 1

Walkabout No. 1

- Bellevue Botanical Gardens -
September 11, 2007

I went out for a walk yesterday morning with a friend of mine (Therese) around Bellevue Botanical Gardens.

It was soooo nice outside yesterday - in fact it was HOT!

The gardens are still looking beautiful and I can't believe how much they have added to the gardens each time I go there.

It just keeps get bigger and better every year. I can't wait until they do the "Garden de'lights" again this year at Christmas.

This place is just amazing!

I was particularly blown away by the incredible perennial fuchsia's that are blooming their crazy heads off right now. Simply breath taking.

I have one in my garden that is always 1/2 dead and just barely surviving - I don't think it gets enough water - Do they need lots of water?

The Japanese Garden is looking very nice right now too!

My friend, Therese, (my walking buddy) was in Japan earlier this year and was telling me about the amazing gardens that she had the opportunity to visit while there. She was explaining to me how the gardeners go out and rake the rocks and sand throughout the gardens into a different pattern or design every day. I would love to go and see the gardens of both Japan and China!!

After walking for about an hour through the gardens we went to Starbucks for a coffee - a 3 hour coffee!

Another great Day in Nancyland - a lot of walking, talking & chattering followed by a short nap!

No doubt about it - I am a very lucky girl --- I have an amazing husband who allows me an amazing life - that's for sure!
